Shopping in Pasar Atas

Market in the center of the city. It's a tourist market, where the tourist shops so the prices are higher but the location is accessible and not too far from other places of interests
Open usually at 9 am and close in the afternoon around 6 pm.
Don't forget to bargain.

What to buy: They sell traditional clothes, brodery, bags, sandals, souvenirs, all in local motives.
Try the local snacks and food, here the same food has a different taste to what we find in other city like Padang.
The snacks mostly made of rice or cassava but it taste spicy and really good.

What to pay: The food is quite cheap, just be careful of the hot spicy food, especially if you're not used to eat it.
T-shirt around $1,5, brodery is depend on the quality, it's around $20 and up.
